This is a voluntary program, designed to provide some tuition assistance for St. Mary School tuition or St. Peter Religious Education tuition. You may ask family, friends, and co-workers to purchase Scrip from you as well. Gift certificates make great gifts; think of them as "a gift that continues to give."
We encourage everyone to participate in this program even those who do not have a student in St. Mary School. It is a win-win program. Any revenue generated from an order not directly linked to a student is applied to a Tuition Scholarship Fund for St Mary School or St. Peter Religious Education.

What is Scrip?
Scrip is a term that means "substitute money" for St. Mary School tuition or Saint Peter Religious Education tuition. Just imagine, you can pay your tuition bill for St. Mary School by making regular household purchases that you would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, and even gasoline can be purchased with Scrip.
When you purchase Scrip, you are purchasing gift cards that are used just like cash. You use Scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, gas, and other essentials. With every purchase, you earn money that is applied toward your tuition balance.
How Scrip generates revenue for you
Because the Scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. St. Peter Scrip Program buys the Scrip from Great Lakes Scrip Center and other retailers at a discount, and then re-sells the certificates or gift cards to families like yours for full face value. The discount, which can range from one to fifteen percent, is then deducted from your tuition balance. 75% of that percentage or revenue generated by your order goes directly to your tuition account. The other 25% covers operating expenses incurred to run the Scrip Program.
